My name is Yin-An Chen, and I am currently a master's student in the Plant Medicine Program. I previously graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Department of Entomology.
I joined the IPI Lab during my second year of undergraduate studies. This extensive experience has allowed me to gain significant knowledge from my advisor regarding insect-plant interactions.
My current research investigates "How Artificial Light at Night (ALAN) influences insects and their ability to locate host plants via volatile cues in the dark."
My major study species are soybean (a critical economic crop) and the tobacco cutworm (Spodoptera litura), which is a key agricultural pest in Taiwan.
If you are interested in the interaction between ALAN, these insects, and the use of wind tunnelsin my research, please feel free to contact me through the lab.
