I am Cheng-An Liao (廖澄安). I received my bachelor’s degree from the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at National Taiwan University. From 2023 to 2024, I worked as an agricultural assistant technician with the Taiwan Technical Mission in Fiji. I am now beginning a new chapter as a master’s student in the Department of Entomology at NTU.
With a background in plant science and farming, I am passionate about exploring the field of chemical ecology. My goal is to integrate traditional plant physiology with agricultural entomology, particularly through approaches such as volatilomics and phenotyping. Outside of academia, I enjoy gardening, hiking, and reading and writing novels. I also have a deep interest in travel and am always eager to learn more about diverse landscapes and cultures around the world.
