I'm Tiena Mei Elias (黄天美), and I am a visiting student from the USA. I'm a fourth year undergraduate at UC Berkeley in California, and I'm a double-major in Environmental Science and Music. I grew up in the Bay Area and I am half Taiwanese which is why I decided to do a summer program at NTU! At UC Berkeley I work in a lab studying native bees of California, and I love learning about all types of insects, especially the tropical ones here in Taipei that are very new to me. When I'm not hiking and looking at nature, I play the drumset for jazz, rock, and theatre productions. I also enjoy reading books and playing guitar.
